Via Napoli Ristorante is located at Epcot‘s Italy Pavilion. This place is a true experience, its loud, the employees are amazing, and the food is good! Find out how it quickly became a family favorite.
Via Napoli Ristorante is nestled in the back of the Italy Pavilion. This place is a great place to eat during the hotter summer months. It’s a large venue so being able to wait in air conditioning is a huge commodity.
The theming here is very subtle. White walls, basic café chairs and tables, a few wood accents here and there. The eye is drawn to the large open bar area and beyond that three huge brick ovens. The ovens are honestly what your eye keeps on going back too while eating, they are named and decorated after three Italian Volcanos. The art history major in me really appreciated how they depicted the volcanos in a renaissance style.
The menu is pretty simple classical Italian Faire. You can check out the menu here.
As per usual Kaitlyn fell asleep about an hour before our reservation. Adolfo and I took the time to stroll the pavilions closest to Italy. She slept right through the reservation time. Via Napoli Ristorante is a bit of a hidden gem. We were easily able to bump the reservation TWICE. We do not wake Kaitlyn up from naps while we are on vacation. Nothing beats the furry of a tired, grumpy, toddler.
When we did finally check in, an hour after our original reservation, we were seated within minutes. Via Napoli has staff that is truly awesome. They love kids! Everyone was super nice to us. Our waiter had been in the US for some time (all staff here is from Italy) and he told us about how he met his wife on the exchange program and how they loved living in Florida. How cute he thought Kaitlyn was and how they couldn’t wait to start to the next chapter in their lives. This kind of interaction with Disney staff is so key to us. It’s so nice to be around a group of genuinely kind, happy people.
This meal went at a very nice relaxed pace and the food came really quickly. We always appreciate when they bring Kaitlyn’s food out first. This way I can get her settled in before I start eating my own meal with no concerns about my food getting cold.
The Food at Via Napoli Ristorante
The food at Via Napoli Ristorante is delicious. Hands down one of the best meals we have had. While there are a lot of options here we went for the classics.
The pizza is what shines here. The crust is thin and chewy, absolute perfection. High grade mozzarella is also used and the pepperoni has just enough of a kick to it. We also loved that the tomato sauce wasn’t overpowering.
Kids Spaghetti and Meatballs
Delicious! The meatballs were of a much higher quality than what you will normally find at Disney restaurants. Kaitlyn normally isn’t a big meat eater but she went to town on these. My only complaint was that the pasta was not al dente, but in kids meals this is often the case. The red sauce was also well seasoned and didn’t taste like jarred sauce. We know, Spaghetti and Meatballs is not a real Italian dish, but you cant argue with what works!
Unfortunately, this was the least popular dish from our meal. The tomatoes weren’t up to snuff as they weren’t completely ripe and we only got one piece of basil. The mozzarella made up for it a bit because of how deliciously fresh and soft it was.
Blood Orange Agua Fresca
This is not what most Americans consider an agua fresca. Its just juice mixed with sparkling water without any added sugar. It was very light and refreshing and we highly recommend it on a hot day.
Would we eat at Via Napoli Ristorante again?
Over and over and over again. We know we need to get more than their pizza but we aren’t sure it’s going to happen any time soon. Via Napoli Ristorante is now going to be a part of our regular rotation. This is a great restaurant for groups and a great place to relax for a little bit.
